There are so many questions, and not much time! The cost of hiring contractors to work in your home has never been more, and we all know how challenging it can be to get high-quality professional craftsmen in your home on short notice.

Whether you're working on a tight budget and looking to save money, or just want to allocate those funds toward another project, many homeowners can tackle a successful DIY painting project with the right help and support.  Perhaps you're just a hands-on person who's up for the challenge!  But don't just assume there's nothing to it! Without good processes and an understanding of best practices, skills, products, and tools, it's very easy for a residential painting project to go south in a hurry and you'll end up with a big mess on your hands.

Braun's Painting is here to help with this new one-of-a-kind service!  We love providing high quality service work for our customers, but we also have witnessed first-hand the demand for informative and affordable DIY education for homeowners. Sure, YouTube is great! We know, we make how-to content on a regular basis on Braun's Painting Network.  That said, sometimes it's just not enough and you need that personalized attention and the ability to ask questions and have a back-and-forth discussion with a seasoned paint pro. Or better yet, join us at our shop in Camillus, NY for hands-on training and experience!  We'll even schedule in-home training sessions by the hour to take your skills and project to the next level, all at a significant savings from booking us as a painting contractor.

This phone call serves as a great pre-requisite for requesting an in-person training session. If you'd like to get hands-on training with Steve Braun, you'll have the opportunity during this phone call to schedule in-person training at the Braun's Painting customer consultation center in Camillus, NY, or you'll have the option for in-home training right on the jobsite!

Here's The Process For Booking Your DIY Training​

Start your DIY Training journey by booking either a phone call or Zoom call today!  Click the "Book Now" button below and you'll have the opportunity to find a day and time that's convenient for you.  While booking the call and filling out the form, we recommend answering the 2 questions and providing any details about what you're most interested in learning about or any major concerns you have regarding your DIY project. That will help Steve prepare his focus for the training call.

Phone calls and Zoom calls are booked at $50 for a 30-minute time slot. After this initial call, if you'd like more time or would like to schedule an in-home training or a hands-on training at our shop in Camillus, you'll have the opportunity to schedule that directly with Steve on the call.  

​

Hourly rates for DIY Training are as follows and will be billed online once your session is scheduled.  Payment for the phone/Zoom calls will be requested online at the time of booking.

​

  • 30-minute phone call or Zoom meeting is $50

    • This is the required starting point for DIY training​

    • This is a pre-requisite for in-person training

  • Hands-on trainings at our shop are billed at $75/hour with a minimum 2-hour visit required for booking

    • Up to 3 people in a party can attend a training session​

    • Wear working clothes you can get paint on

    • Demonstration tools and materials to be provided by Braun's Painting

  • Hands-on trainings in your home are billed at $100/hour with a minimum 2-hour visit required for booking

    • An additional mileage charge will be applied to the bill at the IRS mileage rate​

    • Miles are as calculated from the Braun's Painting shop at 309 Kasson Rd, Camillus, NY to the client training site

    • For efficiency, we recommend no more than 3 people in attendance at each training session

    • Wear working clothes you can get paint on

    • Demonstration tools and materials to be provided by Braun's Painting
